Jojo spent ten years in California’s foster care system, eventually aging out. Defying the odds, she went on to attend college and become an advocate for other children who, like herself, find themselves in a bureaucratic system. She currently works helping foster youth successfully transition out of the foster care system.

The Child Welfare PAC helped Western, Kings, Brescia, and Huron facilitate an initiative aimed at increasing post-secondary enrollment, with up to five students to receive financial assistance at each of Huron, Brescia, King’s, and a further 20 at Western, for the 2021-22 school year.
