Zoe Lee

Zoe grew up in sunny California, moving to Toronto for graduate school. She is studying a Masters of Education in Social Justice Education at University of Toronto. She received her undergraduate studies in Sociology in Los Angeles, California where her research interests surrounding foster youth educational attainment levels in a post-secondary context begun to flourish. She believes that her lived experience enhances her capabilities to encourage other foster youths to become high achievers despite their circumstances. Zoe is also a YES Scholar Alumni with Pivotal, and has spoken on panels to share her success stories with other foster youths who wish to further their education. Zoe wishes to bring her research to Toronto where issues surrounding child welfare and education can meet.
