Marko Berrak-Tinaz

Marko Berrak-Tinaz is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto, currently completing an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental and Indigenous Studies with a minor in Human Geography. Born in Germany, Marko came to Canada as a refugee from Albania. Having experienced the care system himself, Marko is an advocate for children living in Canada’s child welfare system. He works as a Youth Advisor with the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada. Marko has also worked with Native Child and Family Services Toronto as a camp counselor for Indigenous youth in care. His academic and lived experiences inform his dedication to help youth in and from care succeed.
