
Dr. David Bernstein
Forensic Psychologist
Dr. Bernstein is the Senior Forensic Psychologist and President of Forensic Consultants, LLC. He has held appointments at Yale University School of Medicine, where he completed his doctoral internship, and Harvard University Medical School, where he completed his postdoctoral residency in Forensic Psychology in the Department of Law and Psychiatry. He has been a consultant for federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies and spoken nationally and internationally on the subject of Threat Assessment and the impact that peer victimization has on Targeted School Violence. In 2013, Dr. Bernstein was asked to speak before the Connecticut State Senate’s Subcommittee on School Safety to provide information and guidance to legislators regarding school safety and student threat assessments. He has been featured by Dateline NBC, Good Morning America, ABC News, NBC News, the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and Huffington Post. Dr. Bernstein started out in the New York City foster care system and has become a passionate advocate for children's rights.
